| Description | Our new voting rights coalition along with the Political Action Committee is holding a meeting this Saturday September 10th at 2 pm at Cleveland Park Library, Meeting Room 1 to discuss our continued efforts in support of the Local Resident Voting Rights Act. The bill would allow permanent non-citizen residents to vote in local DC elections. In the hopes that this bill will be voted on in City Council this fall, we are expanding our efforts to bring in local voting rights and other organizations and to reach out to local ANCs. For example, I have attached below a recent resolution presented in the Mount Pleasant ANC in support of the bill. |
